Parents and Players,
Here is our latest update as of September 23, 2020
Tomorrow (September 24) will be our first day of practice from 5:30-7:00 at Corban University.
Here is a link to directions to Corban: https://www.corban.edu/admissions-aid/campus-visit/directions-to-corban/
https://media.corban.edu/hydra/media/files/2020/09/07/campus-map_2020-update.pdf Parking is in two places:
1) Lot N (just off Deer Park Dr, north of the main entrance, immediately after turning onto Warrior Drive). It's a gravel lot often referred to as the baseball lot because it's right in front of the baseball field.
2) Lot O (turn onto Warrior Dr and just as you start going up the hill, you can turn left into lot O. This area is paved parking.
Please be sure to bring the waiver form filled out and ready to turn in that you received in a prior email. If your player was at lineman camp last night, we already have a waiver for you so you will not need to fill out another one.
When you check in with your player you will be able to get them connected with their coach and then all parents will need to leave the practice field. You can wait in your car or leave and come back to pick up promptly at 7:00. We are required by both Oregon Health Authority and Corban University to meet the 250 people or less expectation.
Your player will get a mouthpiece if needed and a mask that must be worn at both practices and games when 6 feet of social distancing cannot take place.
We will be handing out t-shirts to K-2 players to be worn at games that they will keep. 3rd-8th graders will get actual uniforms that will be for games and turned in at the last game on October 31.
We also will have soft helmets for our players. We will have them at practice and are waiting for a shipment for the rest of what we need. The 5-6 and 7-8 teams will get them at Blanchet on Saturday. We have one 5-6 team that plays at Amity on Saturday and we will get coaches the helmets prior to Saturday morning.
Finally, schedules were sent out to coaches today and they will be emailing you. We will work to get the schedule up on our website as quickly as possible. Remember each player will get only 2 guests at games and you will need to turn in your players COVID 19 symptoms form to coaches on game day.
All South Salem HS players should check in with the high school coaches. The HS coaches will be taking care of all the high school players questions and needs.
