Parents and Players,
We are no longer going to be practicing at Corban. There are several reasons for this but none the less we had to adjust our practice plans after receiving word from Corban late Monday afternoon. Thank you to a Saxon Parent that has a relationship with the City we were able to secure locations just this morning that we were not able to get permitted when we tried earlier this fall.
Each location will have board members on site to collect Covid 19 Symptoms Check list, ensure parents are not on the practice field and refill sanitizer bottles as needed.
It is imperative that you do not go onto the practice field if you are not a coach, player, or board member.
We can’t have siblings and friends that are not playing running around the field or the parking lot.
Some of the practice locations do not have parking so you will have to drop your player and return at 7:00 to pick them up.
If you stay at practice you must stay in your vehicle you can’t be outside your car watching.
Reminder: All our coaches and board members are background checked yearly using an extensive 50 state background check.
All Flag players K through 4th grade will be on a Soccer Field at Wallace Marine Park limited parking due to high usage.
5-6 DuFault and Timmerman will be on the grass outfield of Phillips Field at Bush Park Parking is limited
5-6 Greer & Geer along with Keith/Greer 7/8 & Streety/Horvath 7/8 at Morningside Park 1330 Ewald (near Leslie Middle School) There is very little parking, we cannot park on the neighborhood side streets
7/8 DuFault/DuFault and High School players at Woodmansee for one week at then at South Salem HS for the last 4 weeks
Saturday’s game went very well. One reminder that we have expressed in every communication that we have sent out and posted on our website and social media, each player and coach can have 2 guests only. The count that we must be below is 250 for outside activities. Children count as a guest. We are making every effort possible to make this happen for our kids. We must comply with every rule, every time or we will not have a place to practice and or play. Help us by following the parameters we are laying out for practices and games. Please respect the need to wear a mask even outside if you cannot maintain 6 feet of social distancing. Any location that is allowing us to practice must answer to the Oregon Health Authority and our options are extremely limited.
If you have any questions, please let us know. We are sorry for the massive inconvenience.
